Health & Well-Being

Effective and happy employees are employees who thrive. That’s why we focus on both the social and physical environments. We actively work on health initiatives and well-being surveys, and we listen to our employees. We have a great cafeteria that offers the chance to enjoy well-prepared meals and help yourself to the salad bar. There’s always fresh fruit available for free, and all employees have access to excellent health insurance. Throughout the year, our events committee organizes social gatherings, and anniversaries and birthdays are celebrated in style. At Flensted, we value team spirit, and we make no secret of the fact that our employees are valued and important to us. We appreciate that every single day.

Workplace Safety

We want to be a workplace where it is safe and secure to go to work. That is why we have a well-established occupational health and safety organization, in which both management and employee representatives continuously work to improve the work environment and, thereby, safety in our workplace. We conduct regular safety inspections, during which our health and safety teams effectively assess the company, and any issues or shortcomings are addressed to bring about improvements. Several of our employees are trained in advanced first aid as well as fire safety and rescue, because we believe that prevention is the key to improving the work environment and workplace safety.

The Right Skills

As a company with strong roots in the soil of West Jutland, it is important to us to be an attractive place to work. Our ambitious strategy requires talented and dedicated employees, and we are aware that we must continually evolve to stay ahead of the market demands placed on us.

We prioritize training, education, and professional development, and we never stand in the way of employees who want to improve their skills. We conduct structured well-being and development interviews to identify needs and preferences regarding training and professional development. This ensures that we are constantly improving, growing, and maintaining the right skills within the organization.

When we hire new colleagues, we consider both their professional and personal qualifications. As a workplace, we believe that diversity is a strength, as it fosters innovation and development.

Meet some of our employees

Martin Eskildsen, Coordinator, Raw Materials Department

“I’ve been working at Flensted for over 20 years. Working with potatoes is exciting because they’re a living commodity that you have to take care of. The climate and the seasons change, and the potatoes of the season are a direct result of that.
In my job, I’m always juggling many tasks at once, and no two days are alike, so I’m never bored at work.”

Karin Dünnweber, Sales & Marketing Assistant

“As a Sales & Marketing Assistant, I get to unleash my creativity and think outside the box when I develop creative materials that represent Flensted to the outside world.
Flensted is a great place to work, where there are always lots of exciting projects underway and a strong sense of community.”

Dennis Pedersen, Maintenance Foreman, Technical Department

“I’m impressed by how much Flensted does for its employees.
I’ve never been to a workplace that treats its employees so well.
This commitment to integrity isn’t just lip service—it’s truly put into practice, and it’s fantastic to be a part of it.”

Helle Svensson, Production Worker, Potato Production

“In my previous job, I sat in an office doing accounting. I was getting bored to death.
Working in potato production gives me so much—I go to work happy and come home happy.
I’m always learning something new, and no one ever has a sour face. The physical work is fantastic, and we always lift as a team.”
